2011 National Electric Code (NEC) Changes

 

The NEC has become the most widely used adopted installation code in the United States. Because the code is updated every three years, it is considered a living document constantly changing to reflect the changes in technology.

This year’s edition is no exception with new sections on wind power system and outdoor overhead conductors over 600 volts.  Also, expanded AFCI and GFCI rules in Articles 210.8 and 210.12.
